Parking At St. Paul’s Bay

If you are visiting by car, you’ll be glad to know there are plenty of places nearby to park! Just take note that during the peak summer months it might get quite busy in the afternoons, so leave yourself a bit of time just in case, or try to get there as early as you possibly can.

If you want to park right at the top of St. Paul’s Bay & be close to Lindos Village, then park HERE at Lindos St. Pauls’ Parking. It will cost 7 euros for the whole day!

If you would prefer not to pay, then you could try to find a space along the road or there’s another free car park on the other side of St. Pauls’ Bay, both of which are still super handy!

We have also parked HERE for free at the very top of the road which leads down to the bay – if you don’t mind a bit of a longer walk! (just don’t forget you have to walk back up as well 🤣)

Things To See & Do At St. Paul’s Bay, Lindos

1) Visit Agios Pavlos Chapel

To the right hand side of the bay you’ll find the small chapel of Agios Pavlos. Sadly the gates where closed when we visited, so we aren’t 100% sure if you can actually ever go inside!

Either way it’s a cute spot to take a few pictures at & admire from the outside. It’s a typical Greek Orthodox chapel! Just be mindful however, it’s a very popular spot for people getting married, so try your best not to photobomb anyone’s wedding photos 😂!

2) Sunbathe At Paralia Agios Pavlos Beach

Paralia Agios Pavlos Beach is located on the southside of the bay, next to the Tambakio Restaurant. This is the main beach at St. Paul’s Bay which you can access from the road on the right which takes you down to the chapel as well.

You’ll see that most of this beach is covered in sunbeds & cabanas, which you hire for a few hours or for the whole day! According to some recent Google reviews prices can range from around €20 for a basic bed right up to €70 for one of the cabanas. If you aren’t planning on staying for long & don’t want to hire a sunbed you can still jump in the water for a swim! (Just keep an eye on your belongings!)

3) Eat At Tambakio Restaurant or St. Paul’s Beach

Tambakio Restaurant is located right next to Paralia Agios Pavlos & is open from midday, so you could head there for lunch or dinner! They also own the sunbeds on the beach which you can hire, & they offer drinks & food service for those from around 10am-5pm. We didn’t get the chance to visit here but it looks stunning – however do check out any recent reviews on TripAdvisor before you go as it does look a bit mixed!

On the other side of St. Paul’s Bay, there’s St. Paul’s Beach Restaurant. This is the one we usually go to for a drink & to hire a sunbed! It’s a gorgeous beach bar style restaurant & a dreamy spot to sit with a cold beer or a Frappe (for my fellow coffee lovers!)

Again we can’t speak on the food here so do check out the reviews before you visit! However if you’re just getting a drink you can’t go wrong.

TIP: If you don’t mind a short walk or you are heading into Lindos Village to look around – our favourite spot for food is Melia Cafe! We actually cannot rate it highly enough!

4) Take A Boat Trip

If you want to do something a bit more adventurous at St. Paul’s Bay – then definitely think about taking a boat trip! There are two small docks in the bay & plenty of options depending on what kind of trip you fancy! It means you can see a bit more of the south-east coast of Rhodes too!

5) Relax At St. Paul’s Beach

At the very bottom of the path that leads down to St. Paul’s Bay on the northside, you’ll find St. Pauls’ Beach & Restaurant.

You can hire a sunbed or cabana here starting from around €20 per person. We chose a cabana on the first level just above the small stretch of beach, (see photo on the right) & we think it was €30 for the both of us. The price seems to depend on which sunbed/cabana you choose & where it is!

Anyway it was absolutely lovely & we had a gorgeous few hours just relaxing here. You can order drinks/coffees (and possibly food too) from the guys who organize your bed.

TIP: Get here early to make sure you get a good spot. It really fills up in the afternoon – we usually go in October & it got packed later on in the day!

6) Catch The Sunrise At St. Paul’s Bay

One of our absolute favourite things to do at St. Paul’s Bay was to watch the sun come up. If you’re staying in Lindos or close by, we 100% recommend it! Honestly, if you thought this place couldn’t be any more stunning, then you haven’t seen it at dawn!

Tip: Be sure to check what time the sunrise is on Google the night before as it will change with the seasons. We also like to check the weather as you really want there to be very little or preferably no cloud cover so you can see the sun rising right from the horizon!
